"There is great satisfaction in building good tools for other people to use."     - Freeman Dyson -

Hearit Original was first introduced in 1986 by Comento AB of Sweden which develops, manufactures and markets auditory tools. Hearit is currently being prescribed worldwide by speech language pathologists in healthcare, special education and by ESL-BIL and Reading instructors. Amplification as a remedial technique for children with normal peripheral hearing and/or slight hearing loss is recognized by ASHA (1991). Hearit is unique because it amplifies frequencies in the vocal production range (2500 to 6000 Hz), greatly enhancing phonologic awareness. Hearit has received Functional Design Awards in Sweden and is listed by the Swedish Handicapped Institute as suitable for the disabled. The Royal National Institute for the Deaf in England and the Audiological Institute in Oslo, Norway awarded the Hearit an excellent and very good technical performance rating, respectively. Hearit/Voice-it is used for children with learning disabilities and for children and adults with cognitive and/or hearing impairments and communication disorders. Clinician and instructor case studies are included with each of our auditory tools, providing successful models for their use. Workshop Presentations Our company is a member of the Communication Aid Manufacturers Association (CAMA) and key personnel are actively presenting at CAMA/AAC Tour, TFLA and many other conventions throughout the United States.
Hearit participated in the recent AHEAD 2001 conference at the Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
